FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What can I use 4K visual loops for?

VJ sets, live performances, motion backgrounds for streaming and video calls, live wallpapers for desktop and mobile, ambient screens at events, digital signage, and installations. The loops are pre-rendered 4K MP4 files, so they play in any video player, VJ software (Resolume, VDMX), media server, or live wallpaper app.

What's the difference between VJ loops, motion backgrounds, and live wallpapers?

They're the same files used for different purposes. VJ loops are short seamless videos used in live visual performance. Motion backgrounds are the same files used behind streams, conference calls, or events. Live wallpapers are the same files set as a moving desktop or phone background. BIG VISUAL CHILL loops work for all three.

What format are the loops in?

4K (3840×2160) seamlessly looping MP4. Every loop is available in H.264. Select titles are also available in ProRes for VJ software and editing workflows. H.264 is the right pick for general playback, streaming, and live wallpaper apps.

Are the loops royalty-free for commercial use?

Yes. Every paid loop includes a license for commercial use in live performances, streaming, events, and installations. Full license terms are listed on each product page in the store.

How are BIG VISUAL CHILL loops different from stock visuals?

They're original generative art by a single artist, not a stock library or a marketplace of user uploads. The whole collection holds together aesthetically: ambient, abstract, considered. Built to play behind your work, your set, or your stream without competing with it.

Do I need to be a VJ to use these?

No. Most BIG VISUAL CHILL customers aren't VJs. The loops are used as ambient screens at home, motion backgrounds on Zoom and OBS, live wallpapers via SCRYR or Lively, on TVs at home, behind speakers at events, and in digital signage at retail and offices.
